Greener Bus Toolkit

The DfT’s Zero Emissions Buses: Local Authority Toolkit can be found below.

It provides guidance to help local authorities understand the benefits of zero emission buses for local authority policy delivery, bus operators and passengers.

Includes advice on how local authorities can:

  • establish bus service improvement plans and review mechanisms

  • engage local bus operators to develop and implement plans and schemes

  • facilitate access to funding and infrastructure

  • work with operators to increase passenger demand
