How Late is Late? – What Bus Passengers Think About Punctuality and Timetables

Transport Focus' research shows that getting the buses to turn up on time is the key to improving bus passengers’ satisfaction.

In September 2013 Transport Focus held a seminar in Manchester to share the findings from our bus punctuality work with operators and local authorities across the country over the previous 18 months.

Listening to the discussions at that event it was clear that there was a need for a definitive passenger view to inform the setting of timetables and the management of services. Transport Focus commissioned further, detailed, research into passenger views. This report is from 2014 and provides the findings.
